Ralph brings 30 years of executive compensation experience as both a consultant and attorney. He advises Compensation Committees and senior management on compensation and governance matters, with deep expertise in technology and life sciences companies—particularly in guiding firms through transitions from private-company pay practices to public-company programs in connection with IPOs. Ralph has served as a consulting and testifying expert in executive compensation litigation and is a frequent speaker to professional, business, and academic audiences on corporate governance and pay issues.
Before joining Compensia, Ralph was a partner in the nationally recognized Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, representing private and public clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters. He previously served as an executive compensation partner in DLA Piper’s San Diego office. Ralph holds a BA from California State University San Marcos, a JD from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and an LLM with a Certificate in Employee Benefits from Georgetown University Law Center.
